The AGONY of defeat

Gotta go to work today. No new car, no new house, and worst of all no twin quilt shops for me and my sister. Boo Hoo............ Another busted bubble. Off I go to THAT place...................

Susan,
Sorry you didn't win. It's hard doing something you don't want to do anymore. I'm right there with you. I drive schoolbus, and have for 11 years. I'm ready to walk, but DH says I have to wait for at least 3 years till he retires. Oh yeah, like we need to be together 24/7.
Love your dreams, though.

Welcome to Blogland! Nancy sent us here, but I guess you already figgered' that out.

I "think" she lives near my sister. She's mentioned a shop in Blessing but I didn't have time to get there over the 4th. My sister is in Boling. (Wharton, El Campo)

I've just found the MOST wonderful job ever at a community television station. I just love it (even after 6 months, lol). Just hang in there, and try to find all the good things about your job, they're there I'm sure.

I am anxious to follow your blog too, keep up the posting! I've not updated mine, guess I'll put that on my *list* today.

Good to see you in the stash web ring, Susan--it's official! Too bad about the lottery but doubtless you are not alone in not winning.

Hey, were you the one we saw in a cloud of dust motorcycling or riding an ATV a few months back on Nancy's blog?

Yes, LindaJ, that was me in the cloud of dust. Nancy wanted to take a nice tame picture of me sitting on the 4 wheeler. I told her okay, but my family would never believe I actually rode it unless it was a blurry action picture. I had a blast riding with her... such freedom from worries and cares.

Found your site through your sister's site. You are very witty. LOL. Love your quilts too...I have the same dream...But I am sure all quilters and sewing queens do. Oh to have a fabric and quilt shop.I am drooling. LOL.

Sorry you didn't win the lottery. Sorry that I didn't win the lottery too. Sorry that none of the Stash Quilt friends won the lottery.
I didn't think that retirement would ever get here, but it finally did for me. Hang in there - it WILL happen.

Maybe next time?
